The Iowa FFA Foundation’s fourth annual Black Ties, Blue Jackets Gala welcomes supporters of ag education for an evening of celebration. The fourth edition of the gala will be at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny Feb. 17. Doors open at 5 p.m. for a social hour, followed by dinner and a program.
The charity gala helps kickoff National FFA Week in Iowa and brings together supporters who believe in the power of agricultural education.
FFA alumni, business leaders, ag professionals and those who believe in the future of agricultural education and want to see these opportunities continue are encouraged to attend. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the Iowa FFA state officer team.
Tickets are $100 for an individual or $150 for a couple; table sponsorship packages are also available. The gala will consist of a social hour and reception featuring pianist and Central Trail FFA member, Maizee Lindsey, a photo booth, catered dinner, dessert dash, keynote speeches from Iowa FFA state officers Caleb Finnegan and Peyton Schmitt, and a “dueling pianos” performance to cap off the evening. Additionally, there will be live and silent auctions going on throughout the night.
Proceeds raised go toward supporting events and skills development activities provided by the Iowa FFA Foundation, Iowa FFA Association, Iowa FFA Alumni, Iowa Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization and Iowa Association of Agricultural Educators. The Black Ties, Blue Jackets Gala is being presented by Nationwide Insurance.
Tickets and event information are on Iowa FFA Foundation website. Any businesses, organizations or individuals interested in reserving tickets or donating to the auction can contact Iowa FFA Foundation at [email protected] or 515-965-7374.
