Applications for the 2011-2012 Iowa Corn Collegiate Advisory Team (formerly known as the Iowa Corn Student Advisory Team) are now available at www.iowacorn.org/advisoryteam. Applications must be postmarked by October 14, 2011. The team assists the Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) and Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB) in developing programs that target and enhance Iowa Corn's relationship with those individuals who are pursuing careers in agricultural production and allied industries.
"The first year of the Iowa Corn Collegiate Advisory Team was very successful and we are excited to again be offering this program," says Bob Hemesath, an ICGA director and farmer who is chairman of the committee that oversees the program. "This group will help Iowa Corn develop programs that are important to students who are transitioning and preparing to be involved in the Iowa corn and agriculture industries."
