Your chance to learn about the basics of early season crop scouting for corn and soybeans is up-coming at the Iowa State University Extension Education Lab near Boone in central Iowa. Located at the ISU Agronomy and Ag Engineering Research Farm, the field day at the FEEL lab will take place May 17, 2016. It’s a one-day, hands-on course for beginning corn and soybean crop scouts.
Extension specialists will be covering topics related to early-season crop scouting, crop development and pest identification. This is a beginning level course for individuals that may be working as crop scouts and have little prior field experience. Classroom instruction will be supplemented with field demonstrations and activities.

Registration is $65 and includes lunch and class handouts. If you attended the ISU Crop School on February 27 you will receive at $20 discount on the May 17 registration.
