SATURDAY WEB TIP: Click on a Tab for In-Depth Information

The tabs at the top of every page give you access to more information.

This Web site offers a lot of information right on the home page, yet across the top of that page you'll find a few tabs that can offer deeper information too.

Look for the tabs at the upper left side of the site to get more in-depth information.

At the top of the home page you'll find Home, News, Markets, Weather, Discussion, Blogs and Advertise. Here's what you can expect if you click on each of those tabs - check it out for yourself:

Home - that's a pretty self-explanatory tab. Click here no matter where you are on the site and you head right back to the home page.

News - while you may have a lot of news on your home page, clicking this tab takes you to a page of information from various Farm Progress sources all in one place.

Markets - provides information beyond what you find on the home page Risk Management module. You'll find a real-time graphic of how top crops are performing during the market day. You'll also find the constantly updating Market data from major grain and livestock trading floors, including electronic quotes. And you'll find the charting tools too. And you'll find quick links to Farm Futures columnists, Farm Futures news and a unique way to listen to the twice-weekly Farm Futures podcast.

Weather - offers plenty of maps and information at your fingertips. While the home page module can provide real-time weather this site section goes well beyond that. Click on Weather to get access to a wide range of local, regional and national maps. And you'll find links to important ag maps too. We're constantly looking at ways to enhance this page, so let us know what you think as well.

Discussion - is for you. This tab brings up a page where you can search out discussions on a wide range of subject categories. This is a new feature for us and Farm Progress editors want you to join in and create a conversation where readers share ideas. Check it out, and chime in if you have something to say. You do have to be registered to comment.

Blogs - is where several Farm Progress editors are offering up their ideas at least once a week. Check them out regularly and offer up your take on these commentaries. Some expand on columns you'll find in your local magazine - like Farmer Iron - the Blog. While others are additions to the conversation between reader and editor. Read the blog and offer your comments on the topic offered.

Advertise - is a form for potential advertisers to contact us for more information.

Each in-depth section is always under review as we seek out new features and tools to add to the new sites. Check this regularly, and offer your input either at a discussion area or by e-mail. Best way to comment is to send a note to [email protected].
