Sukup purchases European grain bin dealer DanCorn

Sukup Manufacturing's acquisition of DanCorn is "strategically complimentary," Sukup says

Sukup Manufacturing Co. announced Monday it will acquire DanCorn, the Hedensted, Denmark-based exclusive distributer of Sukup products in all of northern Europe.

"As Sukup Manufacturing Co. has been able to expand and grow, our dealers have also grown bigger and shared in our success. DanCorn is an example of the benefit of a mutually strong and lasting partnership," said Steve Sukup, CFO of Sukup Manufacturing Co., in a press statement.

"We are looking forward to continued growth with DanCorn and the expanding opportunities in protecting grain and increasing profit for farmers," added Charles Sukup, President of Sukup Manufacturing Co," Sukup said.

Manufacturing is a continuously expanding company, growing over eight times since 2002. DanCorn has experienced tremendous success with the introduction of Sukup (American) style grain drying and storage systems to Northern Europe, where this style is now considered the norm.

DanCorn is looking to expand and develop their customer base, and with the new ownership by Sukup Manufacturing Co., they will have a renewed focus on increasing market growth throughout Northern Europe.

With DanCorn being one of Sukup Manufacturing Co.'s largest international customers, this combination will add a platform for growth for Sukup Manufacturing Co.

Hans Hansen, former DanCorn CEO, will continue as a member on the Board, while DanCorn's current CEO, Jens Munk Jensen will continue as CEO of the newly acquired DanCorn.

Sukup Manufacturing Co. is a family-owned grain storage, drying, and handling equipment and steel building manufacturer located in Sheffield, Iowa. Sukup has been engineering solutions to protect and preserve the world's grain supply since 1963.
