USDA will host Ag Outlook forum Feb. 25-26

2016 USDA Ag Outlook Forum guests include Howard G. Buffett, former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels

USDA has released details for its 2016 Ag Outlook Forum, announcing that key speakers will include Howard G. Buffett and Purdue University President and former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels.

The theme for the event, which is scheduled for Feb. 25-26, 2016, in Arlington, Va., will be "Transforming Agriculture."

Forum Chairman Seth Meyer said the theme is a look at changes that are and will be affecting the agriculture industry, including changes in land tenure and beginning farmers.

"We're talking about transformations in technology, transformations about who's participating in agriculture," Meyer said," and we're always going to have our outlook sessions on grains and oilseeds [for 2016]."
