A merger of four companies has created a coast-to-coast, international, vertically integrated organization that produces veal and lamb products with a broad distribution reach. The new company, which has yet to be named, will have such brands as Catelli Brothers, Catelli Brothers Italian Bistro, Lido Gourmet, Chef's Reserve and Summit Ridge. All brands will now have national as well as regional distribution capabilities.
The announcement emphasized the fact that the combined entities will have operations from feed to farming to fabrication for both foodservice and retail sale. Each individual company expands its capabilities and offerings to include its partners' goods.
Tony Catelli, President and CEO of Catelli Brothers, says the partnering companies are family-oriented businesses and have worked hard to earn a reputation for using industry-leading food safety and traceability standards. The individual companies are located in Collingswood, N.J.; Vernon, Calif.; Quebec, Canada; and Ixonia, Wisc.
