Video Explains '4R' Crop Stewardship Method Effects on GHGs

Video explains how farmers can reduce GHGs by applying the right source at the right rate, right time, and right place using the 4R method.

The International Plant Nutrition Institute this week released a new video animation explaining how farmers make decisions while adhering to the 4R model – applying the Right source at the Right rate, Right time, and Right place – to minimize greenhouse gas emissions resulting from their nitrogen fertilizer applications.

4R Nutrient Stewardship is one of IPNI’s core strategies to support agriculture’s ability to meet the world’s production needs in a sustainable manner, the group says. 4R Nutrient Stewardship also considers economic, social, and environmental dimensions of nutrient management.
