Winners & Losers in the 2010 General Election

Winners & Losers in the 2010 General Election

Here's a list of the November 2, 2010 general election results—on both the state and federal levels for Iowa.

As a result of the November 2, 2010 mid-term elections last week, Iowa's Legislature is now split. At the Statehouse in Des Moines, Republicans won a majority in the House of Representatives (60-40) and Democrats retained control in the Senate (26-24).

Republicans also won the majority of the U.S. House seats in Washington D.C. (243-192) while the U.S. Senate will remain Democratic (53-47). A few races are subject to a recount, and we will report on those next week if there are changes.
