The 93rd National Block & Bridle Convention, the first one ever to take place at Iowa State University, is being held in Ames April 4-6. The Iowa State University Block & Bridle Club, one of the largest clubs in the nation, is hosting the 2013 event.
The three-day convention is at the Quality Inn and Suites Starlite Village Conference Center on the edge of the ISU campus. Iowa State Block & Bridle committee members expect more than 400 attendees from across the nation.
The opening ceremony will feature keynote speaker, Grady Bishop of Elanco Animal Health. Students will also host a "Pride of Schools" event, which showcases individual university clubs.
