Second Annual Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit Jan. 31

Event sponsored by Iowa Renewable Fuels Association will provide view of ethanol and biodiesel industry and its future.

Companies and individuals who are interested in Iowa's biofuels revolution are urged to attend the second annual Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit on January 31, 2008. The event is hosted by the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association and will take place at the Polk County Convention Center from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"Whether already involved in the renewable fuels industry or just wanting to learn more, this summit provides an excellent overview of where the Iowa renewable fuels industry is and what exciting advancements we expect in the future," says IRFA Executive Director Monte Shaw. "Renewable fuels producers are proud of their role in powering Iowa's economy while also helping our country address environmental and energy security concerns. This conference is our way of keeping everyone up-to-date on the amazing advances taking place."

Attendees will here from key Iowa policymakers and industry leaders. In addition, panels for this year's summit are: "A Sustainable Renewable Fuels Future" and "Future Fuels Need Future Markets."
IRFA was formed in 2002 to represent the state's liquid renewable fuels industry. The trade group fosters development and growth of the renewable fuels industry in Iowa through education, promotion, legislation and infrastructure development.
